Third Annual Huxley Lecture on the History of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Maynooth University, have the pleasure in announcing the third annual Huxley Lecture on the History of Mathematics by Dr Philip Beeley from the University of Oxford, on Tuesday 24th of April at 6pm (Renehan Hall). 

Title: ‘To the very Fountains of Mathematical Learning’. Euclid’s Elements and the reform of university teaching around 1700.

CFP: Unseen Voices: Representations, Interpretations and Reconstructions

NPPSH is an annual conference, initiated in 2016 by Maynooth University. Designed and
organised by postgraduate students, for postgraduate students – our objective is to highlight the scope and depth of emerging humanities across a diverse range of disciplines. We invite both individual and panel abstracts from researchers (Masters and PhDs) for 20-minute presentations centred on the theme of ‘Unseen voices: Representations, interpretations and reconstructions’
