Join us on October 4 at 1-2:30 PM ET, in our first collaboration with the History of Science, Technology & Medicine Network of Ireland. In this event, Rebecca Watterson and Hannah Brown, will discuss the public history website and podcast “Epidemic Belfast,” a free resource that presents episodes related to the history of medicine in Northern Ireland since the 19th century. 

Hannah Brown is a PhD researcher at Ulster University. Her PhD focuses on poliomyelitis in the United Kingdom between 1947 to 1984. Professionally, Hannah works at the Museum of Free Derry as a museum guide. 

Rebecca Watterson is a final year PhD researcher at Ulster University, and researcher for the podcast Epidemic Belfast. Her PhD research focuses on psychosurgery in the UK, 1940-86.
